Hi, I'm Sam.
I build sharp, useful software across web and mobile.
Based in Royal Leamington Spa. I've spent the last 10+ years building and scaling software for teams across React, React Native, Node.js, and more.
If you've got a project in mind, let's talk.
About.
Hey! I'm Sam Fitzpatrick, I build web and mobile applications across a few tech stacks. I specialise in frontend development, primarily React ⚛️, React Native, and Next.js, but I love building with whatever tools are right for the job 🛠️.
I currently work as a Front-end Team Lead with LAB, where we harnesses behavioural science to create meaningful digital experiences. Outside of my day-to-day, I also build, maintain, and host several websites for local businesses 🖥️.
Outside of work, I'm an enthusastic-but-not-great drummer 🥁. I like getting to the gym, running 🏃♂️, and partaking in Peloton classes 🚴. I'm also into experimenting with home networking & automation 🌐, as well as 3D design & printing 🖨️.
If you think you've got something I can help with, let's connect 🔗

Experience.
I'm now a Frontend Team Lead and part of a wider team following our merger with LAB Group. While I still work across React, React Native, and Optimizely projects, the broader team predominantly uses Storyblok, Contentful, and Sitecore.
I mainly built mobile experiences in React Native and Expo, while still getting to work on some pretty cool bespoke web apps and components. I was part of an ace team of developers that specialised in Optimizely, so I occasionally threw my hat in that ring when required.
Day-to-day responsibility of frontend for a variety of clients across different industries to build impactful campaigns and experiences. I built a custom table reservation and food preordering web app for a large retailer. Also learned I suck at ping pong.
Started in a Project Management role whilst upskilling on existing development skills. Moved into a hybrid role where I built Wordpress websites from bespoke designs. Became a full time developer and haven't looked back.
